Episodic automotive retail you actually want to watch.
There’s an un-thrilling formula to automotive retail: sterile, glossy visuals, mouthfuls of sales jargon, and big red bows on cars during the holidays. Nissan was founded to honor the thrill of the drive, so we obviously had to reinvent the retail wheel.
We made a new formula, elevating every retail film to be a cinematic thriller helmed by a self-aware hero driver.
The first episode of Thrill of the Deal aired during the holidays, starring Brie Larson drag racing a BMW 3-series in a Nissan Sentra. The snowy, wreath-laden driveways were not missed. See what Ad Age had to say.
episode 01: The Duel
Director: Marc Forster
We amplified even the hardest-working retail elements, including this longer cut that looped in dealerships.
For the summer episode, we didn’t want to go anywhere near barbecues, kayaks on roof racks, or fireworks. Cue the runaway bride.
episode 02: Runaway
Director: Fredrik Bond
Our espionage-themed thriller continued the play on film tropes.
